HappyFeet League Coach: Scott Madory

Coach Scott has been playing soccer since he was four, and since he was born sometime between the discovery of fire and the invention of the wheel, that makes for a lot of experience. Back in the 1900’s, he played collegiately for Francis Marion University.

Coach Scott is thrilled to work with Happy Feet as their values align perfectly with his coaching philosophy: “Play Fair! Try Hard! Have Fun!” He loves exploring the imaginative side of sessions enthusiastically. He can be quite loud when he gets excited, and when he sees a player grasp a concept they’ve been struggling with, or overcome a doubt or fear, or just score a goal, he gets very excited!

Favorite Superhero: The Tick

Favorite Ice Cream: Michigan Pothole (from Ye Ole Fashioned)

HappyFeet League Coach: Ben Mathews

Coach Ben is from Edwardsville, Illinois. He played soccer his entire life and was captain and MVP for his varsity high school soccer team. He plays soccer as much as I can and is studying Psychology at the College of Charleston.

Favorite Super Hero: Batman

I’ve done a lot of toddler programs with my high energy kiddo and this was by far the best run program we’ve participated in....and that’s coming from a former teacher. The coaches were super engaging and fun! I highly recommend!

My two boys just participated in the World Cup Goal shooting camp and I was so impressed with the level of coaching. The coaches were encouraging, knowledgeable and FUN! I can’t wait to sign them up again for a longer session. Thank you Happy Feet!

We LOVE HAPPY FEET!! The coaches are amazing, very interactive while teaching the fundamentals of the game. Our 3 year old can’t wait to go every week! Thanks coach Jackie and coach MJ for this amazing program!
— Miranda, HappyFeet League Parent
We love Happy Feet! My 2 year old was so excited each week to go to soccer. Thanks for providing something he could be apart of so young! We will definitely be back for more.
— Lauren, Little Toes League Parent
The coaches do such an amazing job and we absolutely love going to soccer every week!!
— Paige, HappyFeet League Parent
The coaches are so personable and great with the kids. We usually show up a little early and they’re already “ON”—encouraging the kids to warm up with a ball or a game of tag. When we first started, I couldn’t imagine the task of wrangling 2&3 year olds to do anything that would require focus, but Coach MJ really knows how to keep the kids entertained and engaged with fun stories and activities that pepper in the soccer moves and game rules. Sometimes the kids score on the wrong goal, go way off the field, sit in the middle of the game, or wander to their parents, but the coaches never treat them like they’re doing something wrong—they do their best to encourage them to keep going and to enjoy themselves...
— Sandrea, HappyFeet League Parent
Such a great program with awesome coaches! It’s not easy wrangling a bunch of 2 year olds and keeping their attention for 45 min, but they do a great job!!
— Annie, Little Toes League Parent
